Frequently asked questions
What is AI photo enhancement?
It is the use of trained models to improve photos automatically — reconstructing sharpness from blur, resolution from small files, color from monochrome scans, and clean tone from noise. Unlike manual filters, it adds plausible detail rather than only adjusting what already exists.
How is it different from Instagram-style filters?
Filters re-weight existing pixels — contrast, saturation, warmth. Enhancement models predict missing detail from learned examples of similar images. One exaggerates what is there; the other reconstructs what should have been there.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Every tool works without an account. Upload, enhance, download.
What does the free tier include?
All current tools, watermark-free downloads, no card required. Fair-use rate limits keep it fast for everyone; see the pricing page for the full picture.
What formats and file sizes are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC inputs are supported. The uploader shows the current maximum file size. Outputs are delivered in common web-friendly formats at enhanced resolution.
How long does processing take?
Typically seconds per photo, designed to work acceptably on mobile data connections. Very large originals take longer than small ones.
What happens to my uploaded photos?
Photos are processed to generate your result and are not sold or used for advertising. The Privacy Policy documents retention and third-party processing specifics — including items still being finalized before launch, marked transparently there.
Can I enhance passport or government exam photos here?
Compliance-critical photo tools are planned but not live yet — when they launch, they will ship with verified official specifications only. The current enhancer handles general photo quality for any purpose; always confirm requirements with the issuing authority.
Does it work for old damaged prints?
Yes — scratches, fading, yellowing, mild tears, and grain all respond well. Start with the old photo restoration tool; severe physical loss (torn-away sections) honestly cannot be fully reconstructed by any automatic tool.
Are product photos suitable for Amazon/Flipkart/Meesho listings?
Enhancement makes phone shots listing-grade on lighting, color, and sharpness. Framing and background rules come from each marketplace's guidelines — we link official sources from the product photo enhancer page.
A result doesn't look right — what now?
First try the more specific tool for your problem (blur vs. noise vs. size confusion is common). If output still seems wrong, contact us with details; genuine bug reports get fast attention and directly improve the product.
Is there a mobile app?
Not currently — the site is deliberately mobile-first so nothing needs installing on budget devices. An app remains possible later based on demand.
